Write a digital love letter in minutes
With menu-un.me ("me and you-you and me"), you can write virtual love letters, birthday letters, and notes for long distance, then send them as a link. For lovers, family, and friends who are far apart, this is a great way to share something more personal than a typical text.
This app does not have any features locked behind a paywall. You can even write a letter without signing in! Usage is completely free.
I initially made this site as a personal project for my girlfriend and I, then polished it up so others can use it too.

How does it work?
You write a letter and create it. A link will be generated that you can then share with your recipient.
Are my letters secret?
Anyone with a link can read the letter. So anyone with a link, can read it's contents. me+u will not share your generated link with anyone. Keeping your link secret is up to you. me+u staff do not read letters or look at photos unless someone reports them or we have a serious safety reason.
What do I get by signing up?
Signing up gives you access to a few additional letter styling options as well as the option to attach an image to the letter. Such as particles, Icon-pattern backgrounds and more. Additionally, it allows you to save received letters and keep your sent letters in your dashboard to read later.
Why should I sign up?
Signing up gives you access to a few additional features. We are planning to add more sign-up only features in the future. Being a free service, me+u is at risk for abuse. To prevent spam, bots and abuse, our more complex features are locked behind a sign up process.
Is it free?
Yes. me+u was specifically made to be a free service without any ads. The goal is to ship more features over time. Currently, there are no plans to add paid features but that could change. However, we are never going to retroactively put features behind a paywall that have already been realeased.
How long are my letters stored?
Your letters are stored indefinitly. They will not be deleted. If you have written your letters while signed in and wish to delete your account, you can do that by messagaging contact@menu-un.me where we can give you the option to delete your written letters alongside the account.
How do I attach an image?
To attach an image to you letter, you need to be signed in. Sign in or create an account to attach an image. The reason image uploads require sign up is to prevent abuse. A single letter containing an image is as big as 50 letters without an image. Storing images can be costly for us being a free service.
How do I report a letter?
Open the letter and tap Report. It starts an email to us with the letter link already filled in. Tell us what is wrong and we will look at it. me+u won't read letter content or images unless someone reports them or we have a serious safety reason.
